Like Nena Wilder, Amber Twilight is best suited for one thing: annoying other players. Her ability is not only inconvenient, but very tedious. Since it happens at the start of every other player's discard phase, your opponents will grow tired of Amber very quickly. The bright side is that this makes them very likely to send an Illness to disable her, depriving you of her negative VP value. Possibly the only good reason to employ Amber Twilight is to move through the Private Maid stack in the hope of employing a better Private Maid later. Remember to eventually purchase an Illness to disable Amber if another player doesn't first. Hiring a new Private Maid will nullify her ability, but not her -3 VP.
